PADI Full Face Mask
Specialty course
It’s a rare cold water diver who hasn’t felt the urge to try a full face mask to stay warm. Full face mask diving opens the door to winter diving where the visibility can be 20 times greater than summer diving.
This course focuses on making smart decisions for a stress free, full face mask experience with an emphasis on safety. You will develop the techniques involved in full face mask diving within recreational limits. The best way to learn full face mask diving procedures and to apply them is by doing it.
This course expands your knowledge about full face masks, the basics of full face mask diving, hazards to avoid, and support equipment. Student divers will apply the knowledge they gain by attending the class and confined water session and at least two open water dives practicing and demonstrating the practical aspects of full face mask diving.
Consists of:
- (1) classroom session
- (1) pool practice session
- two (2) open water dives
included:
- boat passes if needed
- air fills
- PADI Full Face Mask Certification
- PIC processing fee
Required Equipment:
- Total Diving System (may be rented)
- second tank for dives (may be rented)
- Full Face Mask (may be rented)
- spare mask
Prerequisite:
- PADI Open Water Certification or
RSTC equivalent - proof of 20 or more dives
